# polyglots > A command-line tool that reviews and translates WordPress .po files for translate.wordpress.org locale teams. Reviews check submitted strings with deterministic rules and an AI agent, and write out only the entries that need work, already repaired. Nothing is uploaded to translate.wordpress.org; review batches go to the chosen agent's model provider and drafts to DeepL or OpenAI, unless both run on a local model. Install: npm install -g polyglots (Node.js 24 or later). Agents should start with the runbook, which says what to run in which order and what to ask the person before running. ## For agents - [Agent runbook, plain text](https://ada.tools/polyglots/ai.txt): the order of work, checkpoints, exit codes and the full command reference - [Agent runbook, HTML](https://ada.tools/polyglots/ai/): the same runbook for people ## Docs - [Getting started](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/getting-started/): polyglots reviews and translates WordPress .po files. - [The interactive app](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/interactive/): Run polyglots with nothing after it and it opens a full-screen app in your terminal window. - [Reviewing submissions](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/review/): polyglots review reads a .po export of the strings waiting for approval, checks every one, repairs what it can, and writes out only the entries that still matter. - [Reply templates](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/reply-templates/): The message for the requester is one sentence about what a review fixed. - [Translating](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/translate/): polyglots translate fills in the entries of a .po file that have no translation, or only a fuzzy one, and writes them back into the same file. - [Configuration](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/configuration/): Settings live in ~/.config/polyglots/config.json and API keys in ~/.config/polyglots/.env, kept apart so the settings file can be shared or read without exposing a key. - [Locale rules](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/locale-rules/): The checks polyglots runs are not the same for every language. - [Suffixes and plurals](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/suffixes-and-plurals/): Two Turkish mistakes only show once a placeholder is filled in: a suffix glued to a placeholder, and a plural noun after a number. - [Reviewing with antigravity](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/antigravity/): polyglots can use either Claude Code (claude) or the Antigravity CLI (agy) as the agent that judges translations. Claude is the default and needs no setup. - [Local models](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/local-models/): polyglots can draft translations with a model running on your own machine, and, experimentally, review with one. Nothing is metered. - [Usage statistics](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/usage-statistics/): polyglots can share a few anonymous totals, so the website can say how much it has been used. It is off unless you turn it on. - [Command reference](https://ada.tools/polyglots/docs/commands/): every command and option, from --help
